Although we have included templates within WP Contest Creator and will be adding more in future updates, at some point you may want to use the full power of this plugin to customize your own contest look entirely. This is where the powerful template editor comes in handy and is suggested for more advanced users familiar with HTML.
Template duplicate dropdown– You can select a current template already included or one that you created to be duplicated instantly.
Template Name – Name your new template or change the name of a current template.
Template type – By default this is set to open. If you want to create a specific custom template for other contests you can do so here and apply them when creating your new contests.
Stylesheet – You can select a stylesheet to apply to your template. This is perfect for assigning different designs for your contest that you can change right away with the selector.
Template editor – We have included a code editor right inside of the template editor screen. This allows beginners and advanced users familiar with HTML to edit templates without having to leave Wordpress or even new to html user to make small changes they want or add tags.
Available Template Tags – These tags can be used to display information inside your contests. All of our default templates include most of the tags but advanced users can add or remove tags as they see fit. For a full list of tags visit Template Tags.
